Immune-boosting turmeric milk

Immune-boosting turmeric milk

As parents, we can all feel helpless when our little ones are unwell. Whether it's runny noses or watery eyes, cuddles are a must - along with some helpful home remedies to try and ease their discomfort.

Did you know that turmeric is beneficial for the whole family and has been used for thousands of years for its immune-boosting qualities? The magic ingredient in turmeric is called Curcumin, which is a polyphenol that gives it that yellow colour. It is also the reason turmeric has so many health benefits:

  1. Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties help decrease inflammation in the body.
  2. It's a digestive aid that supports the growth of good bacteria in the gut and prevents gas and bloating.
  3. It has anti-microbial properties that can help prevent infections. In fact, turmeric can also be used topically to help heal wounds, eczema, and acne because it can naturally disinfect and decrease swelling.

Try this Immune-Boosting recipe below - perfect for those days when your bub is feeling poorly.

Remember, if you have any concerns surrounding your little ones health, it's always best to consult with your family physician or GP.
